SARANGKOT (Pokhara view point)

It is one of the most popular centers of Pokhara and is situated on the top of a hill. One can reach there by a short 3 hours trek, or drive half an hour or an hour by cycling. The sunrise view of the mountains from Sarangkot is exemplary and very popular spot early risers. Taxi's will drop you off short of the kot itself and you need to walk the remaining 700m up some steps to reach the main view point. The kot is currently occupied by the Nepalese Army this should not prove a hindrance, so long as you do not take pictures of the soldiers.
